Movies
When I actually have time to watch a movie at one sitting (rare), I do like to be challenged. I'm a big Akira Kurosawa fan, not just for the obvious reasons. I find an intriguing connection between the actor's craft and the creative musician's - how one makes choices based on the subject matter and emotional connections to the material. I tend to follow the careers of my favorite directors, which seems to give me great pleasure in helping me to ponder my own evolution as a musician.

I'm a news junkie too. So much so I have cable TV hooked up to my computer desktop so I can watch and record (a la "Tivo" style.)

The only real network show I watch faithfully is House.
