Kevin McDonald Fellowship: Breathe (2012)

Breathe

I'm really proud to be a part of this very cool project, featuring a collection of outstanding young musicians, many of whom I have watched (since grade school) develop into mature talents. Great writing and playing throughout, led by Kevin's beautiful vibe and grace. Awesome people too!

Tim Shaghoian – saxophones, FX, keyboards
Joshua McDonald – trumpet, FX
Torrey Newhart – piano, keyboards
Kevin McDonald – double bass, keyboards
Ryan Biesack – drums
Jason Fritts - drums
Brian Hamada – drums

Gina Leneé: Under The Same Sky (2012)

Under The Same Sky
I was honored to be a part of Fresno pianist/composer Gina Leneé's recent CD project and release concert, superbly arranged and conducted by good friend and mensch Mike Dana. Gina's piano stylings and compositions are heartfelt and inspiring.

The CD release concert benefitting Break The Barriers was a rousing success! Congrats Gina!

bug: I have such a good time hanging, travelling and playing great music with these guys, it's more fun than you can imagine. We've been to Nepal and back, with stops in Michigan, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada and California along the way.

During the summer of 2011 bug (with guests Hashem Assadullahi and Todd DelGiudice) had the great pleasure serving as guest artists and house band during the CSU Summer Arts program, working alongside and collaborating with the likes of Theo Bleckmann, Ben Monder, Tim Ries, Josh Roseman, Poncho Sanchez, Francisco Torres, Alan Durst and course coordinator and all-around cool guy Benjamin Boone. We had a great time with the students and were left exhausted but exhilarated by the intensity of the shared experience.

For several years, I was privileged to be a part of pianist Armen Nalbandian's working trio. Armen is a prolific composer whose creative work continues to evolve and surprise audiences at every turn.
